Since 1978 years runners have been joining together across Canada (1987 was the first Edmonton 24 Hour Relay) to participate in 24 Hour Relays in support of Easter Seals.
The first Labatt 24 Hour Relay was started in 1980 in Burnaby, B.C. and has grown every year. The Vancouver Relay is Canada's largest and most successful, raising over one million dollars a year, and is the standard we aspire to equal. The Relay is now held all across Canada, with some provinces hosting more than one Relay in different cities.
The funds from the Edmonton Money Mart Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay not only supports Easter Seals Camp Horizon, the Equipment and Support Services, Easter Seals McQueen Residence, as well as Camp Health, Hope and Happiness (Camp He Ho Ha) west of Edmonton.
Easter Seals Alberta is the sponsoring body of the 24 Hour Relay.
